
Indianapolis, In. – Governor Mike Braun ceremonially signed State Senator Greg Goode’s workforce legislation Thursday, officially cementing Ivy Tech Community College as Indiana’s primary engine for economic success. Senate Enrolled Act 254 updates the college’s mission to prioritize dual-credit programs and high-demand career training, ensuring students are better prepared for the modern job market. Senator Goode noted the bill provides essential tools to align academic degrees with the needs of local employers. The new law, which received unanimous bipartisan support, is set to take effect this July.
