Terre Haute, In. – A Terre Haute man is behind bars today after a violent domestic dispute and a citywide search for a missing child. Police arrested Donald R. Bracken, 50, early Thursday morning following reports that he battered a woman on North 19th Street and fled with his two-year-old child. Using Flock Safety cameras, officers located Bracken, who was reportedly intoxicated and combative during the arrest. The child was safely recovered, while Bracken now faces a long list of preliminary charges including kidnapping, strangulation, and domestic battery. He is currently being held in the Vigo County Jail on a $25,000 cash bond with a court appearance scheduled for Friday.
