Terre Haute, In. – Daphney Allen, 44, pleaded guilty in a Vigo County court to charges stemming from a 2022 shooting. Her scheduled jury trial was canceled after she accepted a plea agreement involving charges of aggravated battery and unlawful firearm possession. The conviction follows an August 2022 incident where Allen shot a man multiple times inside his South 9th Street home. Under the finalized agreement, which includes a habitual offender enhancement, she is expected to serve 18 years in prison followed by four years of probation.
