Terre Haute, In. – The Vigo County YMCA’s swimming pool in Terre Haute is officially back open following major renovations. This week, branch manager Sam Albrecht gave tours of the updated space, which patrons describe as “very much brighter” thanks to fresh off-white paint and new LED lighting. While the pool is ready for swimmers, work continues on a broader $10 to $12 million modernization of the facility, including a new welcome center and expanded childcare areas supported by a $6.5 million grant from the Lilly Endowment.
