Terre Haute, In. – At around 3 am Saturday morning the Terre Haute Fire Department responded to a structure fire in a commercial building at 3th Street and Hulman. Fire Dept. officials stated that firefighters spent approximately three hours battling the flames and continued to douse the remains for several hours afterward. Crews utilized an excavator to break up the rubble, as a large amount of clothing inside the structure fueled the fire. No injuries were reported, and no other buildings, including the nearby Queen City Piercings, sustained damage. Authorities blocked off 13th Street for much of the day, the cause of the fire remains unknown, and officials are still determining if the building was actively being used.
