Terre Haute, In. – CANDLES Holocaust Museum in Terre Haute has officially opened its new permanent exhibit, “Inside the Lab: Medical Experiments at Auschwitz.” This powerful installation recreates a WWII Nazi laboratory to expose the atrocities of Dr. Josef Mengele, known as the “Angel of Death,” who performed lethal pseudo-scientific experiments on thousands of prisoners, including museum founder Eva Mozes Kor and her twin sister Miriam and thousands of others. Featuring artifacts like an authentic pathology table and personal testimony, the exhibit serves as a sobering reminder of the dangers of unchecked hatred and the importance of medical ethics. The museum, located at 1532 South 3rd Street in Terre Haute, is open to the public on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
