Terre Haute, In. – This past weekend, members of the Steinberg Volunteer Fire Department from Marklkofen, Germany, visited Terre Haute to finalize the purchase and test their new Neoteric Hovercraft manufactured in Terre Haute. The visiting team, took to the Wabash River to put the six-passenger rescue craft through its paces. The Steinberg Volunteer Fire Department had to come all the way to Terre Haute to purchase their new rescue craft since they are manufactured anywhere in Europe. Their new hovercraft is expected to arrive in Germany via shipping container in the coming months.
