Sullivan County – At approximately 1pm on January the 16th The Sullivan County Sheriff Department responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in Hymera. Deputies located on west bound State Road 48. During the pursuit the vehicle attempted to back up to make a turn and a Sullivan County deputy discharged his firearm at the vehicle, but it continued westbound into a wooded area eventually coming to an abrupt stop.  The driver exited the damaged vehicle and ran, stealing a second vehicle.  Deputies were able to apprehend the driver a short time later. The driver was identified as 31-year-old Marci D. Coleman of Jasonville, Indiana.  She was taken into custody and charged with resisting law enforcement and theft.  The Sullivan County Sheriff has requested That the Indiana State Police investigate the shots being fired during the pursuit. Upon completion of their investigation, Indiana State Police detectives will submit a full report of the incident to the Sullivan County Prosecutor’s Office.
