Brazil, In. – Around 1:30 Tuesday the Brazil Fire Department responded to a fire in a home on South Levitt Street in Brazil. The Home owner was attempting to thaw out frozen water pipes in the homes’ crawl space with a heater. The heater ignited items in the crawlspace which spread to other parts of the house. The home sustained extensive damage. The Red Cross was called in to assist the homeowner.
