Marshall, Il. – Earlier this week the Marshall, Illinois City Council approved an ordinance that will hold parent financially responsible if their children commit certain crimes. Fines start at $250 for the first offense. The penalty doubles for the second offense and triples for the third. Examples of crimes include vandalism, animal cruelty, and underage drinking.
