Terre Haute, In. – A former Terre Haute special education teacher appeared in court Monday after allegedly headbutting a seven-year-old student with emotional disabilities. Forty-five-year-old Stefany Auten faces a battery charge following the incident at Ouabache Elementary, where witnesses say she intentionally headbutted the child during a classroom struggle. Auten, who reportedly admitted to police the act was intentional, is now under a no-contact order and faces termination from the Vigo County School Corporation.
