Terre Haute, In. – A 25-year-old Terre Haute man has been sentenced to 50 years in prison for a series of sex crimes involving children. Ethan Rubinacci received the maximum sentence Thursday after pleading guilty to four felony counts, including child molestation and sexual misconduct with a minor. The sentencing followed emotional testimony from victims and their families, who detailed abuse occurring over a two-year period. In exchange for the plea, prosecutors dropped 11 additional charges. Rubinacci will be required to register as a sex offender and must serve at least 38 years before becoming eligible for any form of supervised release.
