Riley, In. – Construction has officially launched on the next phase of the Riley Trail, focusing on a new loop around Terre Haute’s historic Rea Park. Crews begun work on the north side of Thompson Ditch, where they are paving a 10-foot-wide asphalt path that will travel clockwise along Royse Drive, 7th Street, and Davis Drive. While some sections will feature shared roadway markings for safety, the expansion marks a major milestone in connecting the Town of Riley to local city amenities. This new segment builds on the recently completed 1.6-mile stretch from Louisville Road, bringing the total trail project closer to its goal of a seven-mile scenic corridor for Vigo County residents.
