Terre Haute, In. – A 51-year-old Terre Haute man is in custody following a violent Saturday morning altercation that led Terre Haute Police to threaten the use of a Taser. Gary M. Kirby faces multiple felony charges, including rape, strangulation, and battery against a public safety official, after allegedly attacking a victim with a knife and fighting responding officers. According to the Vigo County Jail, Kirby is being held on a $15,000 cash-only bond.
