Terre Haute, In. – Terre Haute police took 49-year-old David Bolinger into custody on Monday following a violent residential entry. Officers were dispatched to a home on Foulkes Drive around 4:30 a.m. after receiving reports that a former boyfriend had forced his way through a rear door. Before law enforcement arrived, Bolinger allegedly engaged in a physical altercation with another household member and fled the scene on foot. A THPD K-9 unit tracked the suspect to a residence in the area of Lockport Road, where the occupants initially denied Bolinger was inside and remained uncooperative with investigators. Bolinger eventually surrendered without further incident as officers began the process of obtaining a search warrant for the property. He has been charged with residential entry and battery resulting in bodily injury.
