
Wabash Valley – Severe weather tore through West Central Indiana Thursday evening leaving a trail of property damage but, fortunately, no early reports of injuries. The National Weather Service issued a Particularly Dangerous Situation tornado warning for the area as the storm front crossed the state line. A confirmed tornado was reported near Sullivan. There were numerous reports of hail in the southern part of our listening area. The hail size ranged from dime to quarter size. There were reports of vehicles and homes damaged by the hail. A “large and extremely dangerous” tornado was confirmed moving through the Bloomington area around 7:00 PM. The storm caused significant structural damage on Bloomington’s west side.
