Terre Haute, In. – It was a packed house at the Vigo County Public Library as constituents brought their concerns directly to a panel of state legislators at Saturday morning’s Cracker Barrel Session. Legislators attending included State Senator Greg Goode and Representatives Tonya Pfaff and Bruce Borders. Topping the agenda were concerns over education funding and teacher requirements, with Representative Pfaff noting that the state continues to place more mandates on educators without a corresponding increase in financial support. Social and policy issues were discussed, including state-level responses to homelessness and immigration. These “Cracker Barrel” events are designed as open forums for the public to vet proposed legislation and hear updates on sponsored bills
