Terre Haute, In. – It was a historic 24 hours at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. What started with a $1 million goal ended with a staggering $1,949,776 raised for the institution during its 11th annual Woods Giving Day this week. The record-setting total was made possible by 1,511 donors. The energy on campus was high as approximately 100 volunteers—including students, faculty, and staff—spent 12 hours working the phones at the Woods Student Center to connect with supporters. The nearly $2 million will go toward the Woods Fund, an unrestricted account that directly supports student scholarships and daily campus operations.
