Terre Haute, In. – It’s been about a year but the Solar Farm at Terre Haute Regional Airport will soon begin construction. It was a year ago that the airport received a $500,000 grant from the state toward the $2.6 million to $3.1 million project. The Solar Farm was designed to turn unused grassland, at the airport, which is restricted by aviation height requirements, into a sustainable “win-win” for the community. At the recent meeting of the airport board solidified their management agreement with PSG Energy. The solar farm is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026, marking a significant step in the airport’s transition toward sustainable infrastructure and workforce development.
