T.H. Man Convicted In Infant Death To Be Sentenced

Terre Haute, In. – A change of plea was presented in a hearing on Tuesday for 29-year-old Marshon Jones. Jones changed his plea to guilty related to the death of an infant. Jones was originally arrested in 2020, on charges of battery resulting in serious bodily injury to a person less than 14 years of age and two counts of neglect of a dependent resulting in serious bodily injury. He was released on an ankle monitor program while awaiting trial. He allegedly cut off the monitor and disappeared. He was tracked down to Indianapolis and arrested and charged with escape, aggravated battery, neglect of a dependent resulting in death, and murder. His sentencing date is scheduled for March 3rd.
