Vigo County, In. – The Department of Natural Resources (Law Enforcement Division), has requested the assistance of the Indiana State Police Putnamville District in a death investigation of a man in their custody.
The man was identified as 48-year-old Shane Hedden of West Terre Haute.  Hedden was taken into custody for resisting law enforcement.  While in custody Hedden complained of pain and was transported to the hospital in Terre Haute.  At the hospital, Hedden had a medical episode and was later pronounced dead. An autopsy was performed Monday at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. The results of the autopsy have not been released.
