Terre Haute, In. – A gas leak on the north side Terre Haute Friday evening required the Terre Haute Fire Department to block off an area around Ft. Harrison Road, Haythorne Avenue, Lafayette Avenue and 25th street while crews from Centerpoint Energy worked to repair the leak. Duke Energy cut the power to the area fearing that an electric spark could set off the gas. The cause of the leak has not been released.
