Linton, In. – Earlier this week we reported that the body of 64-year-old James “David” Higar was found in a burning trailer in Linton. The police began investigating the death as a homicide due to the wounds on Higars body. They also found a dog dead in the trailer. A witness told police that they saw Brandon Criss covered in blood. Criss also showed the witness a picture of body and Criss allegedly was ‘bragging that he just killed David Higar. Police acted on a tip and tracked Criss down at a gas station and took him into custody. Criss told police he killed Higar because Higar was a child molester. Criss is in the Greene County Jail facing charges of facing charges of murder, arson, and animal cruelty.
