
Indianapolis n. – As Hurricane Milton moves into the state of Florida Indiana Governor Holcomb has activated nearly 400 members of the Indiana National Guard to be deployed to Florida to assist in the state’s recovery. The Governor had just recently mobilized about a dozen guard members to provide assistance in North Carolina after Hurricane Helene devastated that area. The Florida deployment includes four units from Terre Haute, New Albany, Lawrence and Gary. Indiana National Guard members are also currently serving along the Texas border and in the Middle East.
