WIND CHILL ADVISORY FOR WABASH VALLEY

...WIND CHILL ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO 1 PM EST SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills expected. Wind chills as low as 25 below zero.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, north central, south central, southeast, southwest and west central Indiana.

* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 1 PM EST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
Strong wind gusts up to 45 mph will be possible through 1 pm Sunday.

Temperatures will fall to the single digits Saturday night. This
combined with winds of 10 to 20 mph will result in wind chill
values near -20.

...Sunday through Friday.

A prolonged period of frigid temperatures are expected Sunday
into next week. Air temperatures will fall to below zero for
parts of the area Sunday night and Monday night. Wind chills may
approach 20 below zero for parts of the area by Tuesday morning.

The bitterly cold temperatures will raise concerns for ice jams
along area rivers and streams from late this weekend into next
week.
