TERRE HAUTE, Indiana (DLC Media) – The Terre Haute housing development plan is coming together despite some pushback. The Vigo County Council voted unanimously to rezone a property on Hulman Street which would be used to create over 100 townhomes in the city.

The controversy comes from some groups of people who believe that this addition will create traffic backup and overall transportation issues.

Positives come from a monetary aspect as councilmen like Mark Clinkenbeard look at how beneficial this project will be for tax dollars for the city and county.

The next step for the project will be passing through the Terre Haute City Council Thursday.
