Brazil — A new community center could be built at Craig Park.

Brazil Planning and Zoning Administrator Janet McClellan told DLC Media News today that a goal has been set to build a community center on the site of the former zoo at Craig Park.

Plans are to apply for a planning grant to determine the possibility of building the community center.

At one time, a zoo was operated in Craig Park for the public to enjoy. The zoo animals were removed decades ago.

McClellan also said her personal goal is to one day become the mayor of Brazil. The current mayor, Brian Wyndham, hired McClellan to be the planning and zoning administrator in 2016.
