Vigo County History Center Featuring Wabash Valley Tournament

Terre Haute, In. – The Vigo County history Center is currently displaying the history of The Wabash Valley Tournament that featured high school basketball teams from western Indiana and eastern Illinois from the early 1900’s into the 1970’s.  The Wabash Valley Tournament was the largest and longest-surviving high school basketball tourney in American history featuring 124 teams at its peak. Vigo County Historical Museum’s display “Return to the Valley: The Wabash Valley High School Basketball Tournament (1916-1972)” will remain on display at the museum through “March Madness,” 2023.
