Terre Haute, In. – With many schools in the area reporting qualified teacher shortages, Indiana State University has partnered with 2 local school corporations to try to help. The college is partnering with Vigo County School Corporation and Southwest Parke Community Schools as part of the Indiana Commission for Higher Education’s Teacher Residency Grant Pilot Program. The program works much like a medical residency program providing paid on the job teaching experience for student educators who plan on teaching K-12.
