Clay County Man Faces Federal Gun Charges

OWEN COUNTY, Ind – A Clay County is facing federal firearm charges after an incident in Owen County.

Police were called to Cagles Mill Lake in on May 1st on the report of a people arguing and one man had a gun.

Officers say that 47 year old Cletis Warren fled.

He eventually stopped and an officer say that Warren could be seen holding an AR-style gun.

He backed his truck into a tree and was arrested.

A police K-9 found over 95 grams of meth in his pickup truck.

Warren faces charges of resisting law enforcement and dealing in methamphetamine.

He could be sentenced to as many as 10 years in federal prison if convicted of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
