TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — A new trial date has been set for a man facing murder charges in Terre Haute.
Back on June 23, the Terre Haute Police Department, along with a SWAT team, was called to a home on North 15th Street after a person was shot.
That person airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital.
Records show that the shooting happened after Douglas Lee got into an argument with a friend’s neighbor over a dog.
Witnesses told police that as the neighbor approached Lee, he allegedly pulled out a gun and shot the victim.
Police say that Lee fled and was eventually located and charged with murder, aggravated battery, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon.
After a hearing Wednesday and trial date was set for March 2027.
