Terre Haute, In. – Ohio street and Cherry street around the Vigo County Courthouse Reopens Ahead of Schedule. Drivers in downtown Terre Haute can expect a smoother commute this morning. Mayor Brandon Sakbun confirmed that major road construction on Ohio Street and Cherry streets from just West of the river bridges to US 41 near the Vigo County Courthouse has wrapped up ahead of schedule. Crews completely rebuilt the base roadway west of the Wabash River, repaved sections near Ohio Street, and installed updated curbing near Cherry Street. All lanes are fully open to regular traffic.
