Terre Haute, In. – An early morning structure fire at a vacant house in Terre Haute yesterday remains under investigation by local authorities. The Terre Haute Fire Department responded to the scene in the 1500 block of South 17th Street around 6:00 am arriving within four minutes of the initial call. Emergency crews encountered heavy smoke and flames breaking through the home’s attic. Officials confirmed the property was unoccupied at the time, and no injuries were reported from the scene. Fire investigators are actively working to determine what sparked the blaze.
