BRAZIL – Forest Park will be the location of a new splash pad to be located near the decades old swimming pool. The age of the pool raised questions:  Should the pool be replaced with a new pool, should it be replaced with a splash pad, or should many costly improvements to the pool be made?

After much discussion, the decision was made to do necessary maintenance to the pool and install a splash pad at the park.

The splash pad didn’t make everyone happy. The splash pad will replace a popular outdoor basketball court.

Now a new basketball court is being built near another popular feature, a running track.

This week, asphalt was laid for the new basketball court so it should be completed very soon. Meanwhile, the splash pad project is making progress and is expected to be completed soon and area children are having fun, staying cool in the same pool their parents enjoyed.
