Korean war jet gets new life

BRAZIL – A fighter jet that once flew combat missions during the Korean War sets on the Clay County Courthouse lawn, repainted in original colors, glistening in yhe sun under a flawless blue Hoosier sky.

A ceremony was held Friday morning to recognize the many who served and died to preserve liberty.

On hand were Mayor Brian Wyndham, Rick Burger if Dule Energy, Walt Termeer,  local veteran who served in Korea, Jill Gilbert, who will soon serve as Commander of one of our local Veterans organizations.

A 21-gun salute was given by American Legion post 2 and VFW post 1127.
