Indianapolis, In. – Inside Indiana Business is reporting that former Indiana Governor, Mitch Daniels, is not going to run for U.S. Senate to fill the seat currently occupied by Senator Mike Braun.  Braun has thrown his hat in the ring for Indiana Governor.  Daniels made the announcement after a trip to Washington, D.C., in which he reportedly discussed the possibility with party leaders and the job with other senators.  In his statement Daniels said, “With full credit and respect for the institution and those serving in it, I conclude that it’s just not the job for me, not the town for me, and not the life I want to live at this point.”  Daniels just completed a 10-year stint as Purdue University president.
