INDOT crews have been working round-the-clock to get patching projects done between exit 23 and mile marker 29. INDOT officials are telling drivers to expect slower speeds and even occassional full stops on the interstate due to lane restrictions.

Drivers do have the option of detouring from I-70 onto U.S. 40 via SR’s 42, 46, or 36. That stretch of I-70 roadwork isn’t expected to be done until the end of next month, weather permitting.
