Clay County, In. – around 10:3 am Friday a Clay County Sheriff’s Office Deputy attempted to make a traffic stop on 1992 black GMC in the area of US HWY 40 and CR 200 W.  As the Deputy activated his red and blue emergency lights the vehicle sped off traveling south on CR 200 W.  The truck eventually drove off the west side of the roadway into a field near CR 550 N and CR 200 W.  As the vehicle became stuck in the mud, the driver who was later identified as Sean M. Stephens was taken into custody without further incident and transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office where he was booked in for resisting arrest with a motor vehicle (level 6 felony)
